IKEA Tarva Dresser Hack, Round II

As much as I swore I wouldn’t buy furniture at IKEA for the new house, I found myself planning another IKEA hack! We hacked a dresser for our bedroom a couple of years ago, but that dresser didn’t fit right in our new bedroom. Because we want to get a whole new bedroom set in a few years, I didn’t want to splurge on an expensive dresser now. So we opted to hack the Tarva…

We’ve Moved! | Moving Tips from a Frequent Mover

Guys, we’ve moved! We were living in an apartment in Costa Mesa, and we moved to a house less than ten minutes away. Still in Costa Mesa, but feels like a different world! We are both so happy to be in a house with a little more space and a yard. We were also having a crazy mold issue in our old apartment (don’t ever live in 27 Seventy Five OR a UDR Property –…

Sales for the New Year

You might have noticed – I’ve been a major slacker ever since Christmas.  As in, I haven’t even turned on my computer!  Hence, I’ve missed a lot of the after-Christmas sales, so I was pretty excited when I checked my email this morning and saw that Anthropologie’s big sale is still going today!  Today is the last day to get an additional 40% off sale items, and there’s still a lot left!  I promised a lot…

R.A.W. Restorations | Reclaimed Wood Art

Since we moved, I’ve been having so much fun deciding what I want our new space to look like.  The thing I was MOST excited about our new place was the guest bedroom – the fact that we now have a comfortable place for people to come stay!  Literally the biggest reason we moved – I love guests! I wanted a piece in the room that would tie together the mismatched furniture.  I’d seen some…

Bedroom Dresser | IKEA Hack

When we moved into our new place, I was so determined not to buy any furniture from IKEA.  However…I realized since this is still a temporary place, and REAL furniture is REAL expensive, I don’t want to be spending a ton right now.  So when we were looking for a bedroom dresser, my Mother-in-law and I decided to try our hands at an IKEA hack ;). First, we picked a super basic dresser that was…

Legend Creek | The Loft

I wanted to post about this house today for two reasons!  One, because I haven’t posted about the amazing loft, and it needs to be posted about.  And two, because it’s for sale and the price has just been reduced.  If you are looking for a home in Utah or know someone looking, I think you should go look at this one ;). For more pictures and information on the home, check out these posts and…

Legend Creek | Master Suite

By popular demand, today I’m talking about the master bedroom and bathroom in the Legend Creek home!  I love this master suite for so many reasons.  Obviously the most striking thing to notice right off is the wall of reclaimed wood in a chevron print.  So good!  The raw goodness of the wall is perfectly balanced by soft whites and golds, with some cooler greys and blues.  Scroll below for more pictures and details…and keep…

Legend Creek | Main Living Area

This big, open living area is the heart of the home, where we know memories will be made for the family that ends up living here!  (Did I mention this house is for sale?  Although I’m going to be really sad to see it go…it could be yours’!)  Our favorite part about the room is definitely the white brick fireplace, that extends all the way to the 18-foot tall ceiling.  The fireplace will soon be a working gas…
