You guys, I got my hair done! It’s ok if you didn’t notice ;). It kind of felt like Christmas came early – I’d been wanting forever to get back in to Sal (Salcedo) for a cut, so it felt like a double win when I was able to book with him and his color partner Cherin (Choi). They are both so amazing – I’ll have to see if they’ll agree to share some hair secrets on here with us soon so you can get to know them better. Both such amazing people, I felt so lucky to spend that time with them.
Some New Hair Product. Sal told me about this line (I hope you don’t mind I’m sharing on here, Sal!). He especially loves the Volume Powder (they make a dark version for all of you girls with darker roots like me!) and Finish Cream.
Over the Knee Boots, Under $50. Yes, it’s a real thing, and they’re actually real cute ;). I’ve gotta thank my girl Hannah for telling me about these when I was about to buy some that were ten times the price. And they are so flattering – I feel like I have legs for days in them! Pair them with a shorter dress and you will, too ;). I love this super soft/comfy dress from Monrow. The slightly-belled sleeve makes it extra flattering.
“No, you really don’t want to know who unfollowed you on Instagram.” Did you know that people can tell? Or have you already downloaded the app, and had your feelings hurt by it? I like how this article presents both sides of the argument, to follow or unfollow. This silly social media world is a weird one to navigate, and although it’s the one we live in now there are still aspects of it that we can control. Like who we follow, and if we even want to know who unfollows us. Do you want to know?! You can find the app I use here…but think about it really hard before you do ;).
And of course, I have some favorite pieces from the collection –
One of my favorite Christmas albums is still “A Very Merry She & Him Christmas,” by She & Him. I’ve had their version of The Christmas Waltz on repeat – gives me all the feels, and it’s a good song to ease you into this crazy month ;). You can listen to the album here (or below) if you have Spotify.
